2022 - 23 is another exciting year for Booker Hill's Pupil parliament members. We are becoming even more involved in putting forward the views and opinions of the children of Booker Hill.
In September 2022, a new parliament was elected and then the parliament themselves elected pupils from the parliament to the positions.
Let us introduce ourselves:
What are the aims of the Pupil Parliament?
Represent all pupils and include as many people as possible.
Take time to listen to all pupils and communicate their views.
Feedback to pupils about what happened about their views.
Action decisions that have been made or explain why they can’t happen.
Job Description for a School Pupil Parliament Representative

Pupil Parliament representatives need to have the following personal qualities:
- Reliable
- Responsible
- Friendly and approachable
- Good at listening to everyone
- Able to remember things
- Honest and sensible
- Hardworking
These are the things the Pupil Parliament representatives need to do:
- Attend meetings, turn up on time and be interested
- Bring your Year group note book to the meeting
- Look after the folder and put agendas and minutes inside
- Listen to the views and opinions of the class and bring them to the meeting.
- Report everyone’s ideas and opinions, even if they are not your own
- Bring ideas to the meeting that will make the school a better place to be
- Feedback information to your class – ask your teacher for a time to do this
- Collect views of pupils from the playground and class
- Present some assemblies with support from adults
