What kept us busy in Spring

Our Topics were "Wriggly Rhymes" and "Once Upon a Time"

We have discovered new nursery rhymes and learned and shared our favourite traditional stories.

We have continued to work on our fine-motor and mark-making skills.

Using tweezers and pegs help us develop our fine motor skills.

We have made marks to represent a number of objects.

Drawing Humpty Dumpty's face on an egg shape was so much fun.

Learning about the characteristics and properties of shapes around us has kept us busy too.

The world around us and the changing weather and seasons have fascinated

us in many ways.

Experimenting with colour to create new shades even kept some of our youngest children happy.

Dressing up as the characters we most adore has been amazing fun!

We have learned to persevere and create paper chains to build a rainbow display in our house area.

Building enclosures, walls and houses to keep the 'Big Bad Wolf' out and 'The Three Little Pigs' safe helped us to act out another one of our favourite traditional stories.

What kept us busy in Autumn

Our Topic was "Me,Me,Me!" and  "Let's Celebrate!"

We have learned about the different things we and our families celebrate: Birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, Diwali, Ramadan and New Year.

At nursery, we celebrated children turning 3 and 4 years old during the Autumn term.

We have loved celebrating Halloween so much that we celebrated it for an entire week.

We have made Diwali diya clay pots to celebrate the Hindu festival of light.

Creative firework painting was enjoyed by all!

Leaves are so much fun!

We have observed how the world around us has changed with the seasons.

We have learned to use new technologies to help us grow.

We have enjoyed dressing up play whenever we could.

Action painting with cars, conkers, wellington boots and pipettes.

We have been learning about shapes and their properties.

Reading and mark-making kept us busy too.
